Ever imagine that there is actually ice cream that is healthy, fat-free, and oh so yummy? Well, here is the recipe...
You'll need...
2 frozen bananas (freezed for at least 24hrs.)
1/2 cup of 'milk' (whatever kind you prefer; rice, soy, coconut, etc...)
2 tbsp of cocoa powder
Optional: nuts, if you like it crunchy.
1.) Place all of the ingredients in a blender.
2.) Blend until creamy.
3.) Add nuts, and blend for 5 seconds just so that it breaks into bits and pieces.
Voila!! Enjoy.
thanks so much for this recipe!!! i made it a little different- added some strawberries, and cacao nibs.
it turned out awesome!! i just ate the whole batch after i got done work and it's great because this ice cream is actually good for you.
i was really pleased at how creamy it was. bananas are such an amazing fruit.
wow...cake batter...must try this....
Also, try adding in a little frozen coconut. Yum. I also added in some almond extract. Loved this addition to my normal banana + another fruit and now these two additions.

That sounds awesome! I'll definitely try it.
Great to hear that you enjoyed it. It is much better to feed children this than conventional supermarket ice cream. I never would of thought there would be an alternative to high fat ice cream.
Yummy! It definitely satisfied the my five-year old's and mine after-dinner sweet tooth. We added a a few frozen strawberries to the mix and lots of nuts on top.
Yeah, when I made it, I noticed that it turned out like creamy cake batch. I guess you would need a lot of frozen bananas to make cake with the receipe?
Yeah! I'll give it a '5' this is so great.
I've finally just joined, and I made up an ice cream cake recipe much like this. I'll post it soon!
thanks tigress. Frozen bananas and milk sound great.
I use rice milk, its a generic brand (Ryza) so its not raw. I am not on a 100% raw diet so I incorporate cooked ingredients. I also sometimes use soy milk, whatever I have in the fridge. Enjoy, its super delicious, and let me know how it turns out ;)
Sounds great. Which milk do you use? Is it raw?
