Ingredients
3 kale leaves (I used red kale; wash clean and separate from stem)
2 pears of your choice (I used Packhams; cut into small pieces)
1 to 2 handfuls of cilantro (washed, but I did not bother to separate from stem)
Strawberries (wash and cut if necessary)
1 to 2 cups water
Ice (if a chilled smoothie is desired)
Recipe Directions
1. Add kale and water into blender and purée down as best as possible (I don’t have a very powerful blender, but I have noticed that if I blend down the tough greens first with just water, that It can actually cut down the greens to a fine pulp).
2. Add pear pieces and cilantro. Blend once more.
3. Add strawberries to taste (I used 4 to 5 medium sized pieces). Add ice (if desired).

HI This sounds really good. I'll have to try it. It's nice to see something that doesn't have a banana in it!
