These turned out very good...I mean yummy yummy yummy good lol Even non-raw friends liked them so much they requested more.
They will turn out very green despite the pics (hence the name) due to the cilantro and parsley.
I like them with a big salad or by themselves as a snack. I haven't created a sauce for the yet, but when I do I'll definitely post it.
Ingredients:
2 cups chickpeas (1 cup dried from soaking 24 hrs)
1/2 cup cilantro
1/4 cup
parsley
2 TBS evoo
1 1/2 TBS cumin
1 tsp sea salt
½ juice of one lemon
Preparation:
In a food processor, blend all ingredients for about 30-60 seconds. Scraping the sides if necessary. Water should not be necessary. Roll mixture into small balls and place on a mesh dehydrator screen. Dehydrate at 105 degrees for 4-5 hours, longer.

1. yes I had that feeling with
yes I had that feeling with hummus, but not the falafel. With the raw hummus it was the tahini that really caused the nausea. I don't digest fats well and too much fat upsets my tummy.
2. I've only tried raw sprouted
I've only tried raw sprouted chickpeas once, but maybe I'll get brave and try again. I love hummus. When I tried before, I soaked the beans for about 12 hours, then sprouted another 24-36 hours... they had tails. I used a recipe I found on this site, mixed up hummus and thought "Yea, I can have hummus on the raw diet!".... took a bite and thought "It's ok...", took a few more bites and started feeling nauseas! The nausea lasted over two hours, so maybe I can't eat the raw beans? Has anyone else experienced anything like this and do you have any suggestions? I know some beans aren't good to eat raw, but I'm hoping I can incorporate at least a few types...
3. great recipe, thanks! i made
great recipe, thanks! i made a few changes- i added a garlic clove, dehydrated for twice as long, then topped with a homemade organic greek yogurt taziki sauce (greek yogurt, garlic, dill, lemon, s&p). SO yummy! my 1 year old daughter LOVED them.

ItVeganGenesis, thanks so much! I'll just have to freeze one batch. Thanks for sharing this recipe:) and getting back to me so quickly.
6. jakkrabbit, I would just use
jakkrabbit, I would just use fresh parsley. Too you could make hummus and sprouts and possibly a "not tuna" dish.
7. Sorry rAwngish, it was 1 cup
Sorry rAwngish, it was 1 cup of soaked chickpeas that doubles to 2 cups. Even though you'll have a big batch, simply double the ingredients, and I'm sure that they're still turn out great.
8. ItVeganGenesis, I want to
ItVeganGenesis,
I want to make these tonight so I soaked two cups of chickpeas and now I have at least 5 cups! Is it 2 cups soaked or pre-soaked?
9. Hey, is there something I can
Hey, is there something I can substitute for the cilantro? I don't have any. Also, I don't have a dehydrator, can these be made in the oven? I'm making them for my sibs who are non-raw, and I'm not eating any (I live on a stomach tube), so it's okay if the oven heats them more than would be allowable for raw. I just really want to make these though and see if my sibs like them, because we've got lots of bulk chickpeas and I want to do something new with them...
10. I tried these and didn't get
I tried these and didn't get gassy. You might be okay, but everyone is different.
11. I know, sometimes we find
I know, sometimes we find little gems of recipes in things we don't expect to turn out well!
The opposite holds true too when we think we have a winner of a recipe on our hands and then it tastes terrible. I have had many good receipes (which I post on here) but I have also had many that were so gross I had to toss them away (Recipes I promise never to post on here). I remember the batch of crackers that I made using the left over pulp from juicing, They were vomit worthy!
Glad this one turned out!
12. Thanks Hipnotizer, Wasn't it
Thanks Hipnotizer,
Wasn't it tasty! I'm very proud of the recipe because I didn't expect it to turn out so well! Thanks for the review.

Hi Hazii!
Yes cilantro are coriander leaves. You can even grown them at home. They give a citrus flavor in a sense that parsley does with a totally different taste. It's used in pico de gallo and various indian and mexican dishes

Wow... Evoo... Just learned a new acronym :-). I tried raw humus with sprouted chickpeas before... didn't like them too much but I think I will it again and this with just soaking them; Looks yummy! Thanks!
22. Well I soaked these for 24
Well I soaked these for 24 hrs in the frig and rinsed twice. They haven't given me gas. I'm eating some now as a matter of fact. They're so good. They're much tastier and creamier (on tahini, but you can add it to the recipe if you want) on the second day. I made these rather small and that also eliminated the beanie flavor.
23. these look so good! i do have
these look so good! i do have a question though. chickpea hummus gives me a lot of indigestion. do raw chickpeas do the same? i'm just always looking for new things to add to my salad besides avocado and i want to try these.
