A twist on the traditional flapjack!

Recipe Directions

1. Process almonds in a food processor until semi-coarsely chopped.

2. Add soaked dates. Process until well mixed. Pour into a bowl.

3. Add ground flax seed.

4. Process apples and carrots in food processor until applesauce-like texture. Pour into mixing bowl. Mix well.

5. Form into patties.

6. Put on Teflex sheets in the dehydrator set at 105 Fahrenheit for about 8 hours (flip half way through and switch to mesh sheet).

7. Top with fruit or any syrupy sauce.

I don't juice anymore, but I think that apple and carrot pulp would work well in this recipe. I used almond pulp the last time I made these and that was good. These are not as chewy as the Brazil nut/banana pancakes that I posted. They have a great flavor as is, but could have other spices added too (maybe cinnamon and a little agave nectar).

Hi 123, This looks really good because it's not as heavy as other raw pancake recipes I seen and tried. I'll have to try this. thanks!
