Recipe Directions

1. Pulse the sunflower seeds, and almonds, walnuts or pecans 10 times in food processor fitted with the "s" blade.

2. Add the buckwheat groats, coconut, and all of the binding ingredients then pulse just until it comes together. If you like it chunkier, pulse the dry ingredients then transfer to a bowl and stir in the binding ingredients.

3. Spread in a thin layer on a Teflex sheet that has been placed on a mesh screen in your dehydrator. Dehydrate at 105-110 for about 6 hours then transfer to the mesh screen until crispy, about 4 more hours or so.

Note:

I soaked then dehydrated all of my nuts before I combined the mixture. This required it to be in the dehydrator for less time for the final product.

TheFitnessFreak's Thoughts

By TheFitnessFreak

Well guess who got creative in the kitchen........ me!

I combined a few recipes to come up with some very yummy, easy, Raw Granola.

This is my favorite Raw concoction.

I played with it for awhile and the final product is crisp, crunchy and super yummy!

It requires a little bit of prep before hand but you'll be glad you waited because it's delicious!

Fabulous Raw Granola

5 out of 5

Sorry fitnessfreak, but I came up with a similar recipe a few months ago... and it is delicious! It is also very crunchy.

I do not use agave, but when everytihng is ready and dry, I mix up some raisins and other dried sweet and tart fruits, that makes it sweet enough for me. I also add some orange juice and peel. If you leave out the agave , you can use 'nana milk' (recipe on this site) made with bananas, which makes it really sweet creamy and yummy.
