I consider this my break-thru raw recipe--It's so yummy I've been eating this once or twice a day for weeks now! I make it in the morning and bring it to work for lunch. The granny smith apple ended up being the secret ingredient for me! Also, I started with ginger (really good too) but once I tried curry I was hooked on that. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. :)

Ingredients:

Liquid:
---------
1 ½ cups filtered water (including soaking water below)
1/2 tsp Lemon Juice (or less)

Veggies/Fruit:
-------------------
1/2 of an AVOCADO
1/3 of a RED BELL PEPPER
1 JALAPENO PEPPER, seeds removed
2 CARROTS
1 small handful SPINACH
4-5 SUNDRIED TOMATO pieces, soaked
1/2 of a GRANNY SMITH APPLE, peeled

Spices
----------
1-2 tsp curry powder
To taste, cayenne pepper
To taste, garlic powder

Preparation:

Throw everything in a blender and whiz away!

Really good recipe, thanks for sharing! I sprinkled some raisins on top, because I really like sweet with my curry, and that was a great addition, too.

3. i just made this tonight for

Submitted by joannabanana on January 4, 2010 - 5:56pm.

i just made this tonight for dinner and it was delicious!! i rarely use curry and never ate it pre-raw, but i loved it in this soup. i added 1/4 of a cucumber because i like the thickness they give soups. i used a tad too much cayenne pepper though so go easy on that (just 2 shakes of it would be good).

4. I was in the mood for soup

Submitted by macanoogie on December 20, 2009 - 1:24pm.

I was in the mood for soup and had all the ingredients so I gave it a try. Even though I omitted the apple and garlic it was still really good! I was craving cauliflower so I added some as well and it fits right in. Mine turned out a funny poo color so it's also fun to tease the kids with. ;)

Thanks for the recipe!

Submitted by barefootandfrol... on December 16, 2009 - 2:28pm.

I just made this and I agree, it is quite good. The best blended soup I have made so far (and I've tried many!) I added too much cayenne pepper though :-) Thanks!

Submitted by AprilDawn on December 2, 2009 - 3:39pm.

This is my first experience with raw soup, and although i may have added a bit too much cayenne pepper, this is DELICIOUS! I have some left over (the recipe is a bit too much for just one i guess- but that's perfect i 'll take it to school for lunch tomorrow!

BTW...I've found this is really good if you add a roma tomato. The color changes to red and it has a richer tomato flavor.
