Couldn't-Be-Easier Granola
This is a really easy granola that reminds me of fall. I’m a big fan of cinnamon and so this satisfies my sweet tooth and is helpin’ me out with nutrients, too! I get two SAD people with one nut! hehe. I crack myself up. ;P
But it does make your house smell pretty good.
1 Sweet Apple (any kind will do), Peeled
3 Bananas , Very Ripe
10
Strawberries
2 cup Oats
1 cup Barley Oats
½ cup Agave
2 tablespoon Lemon Juice
3
tablespoon Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Nutmeg
1 tablespoon Cacao Nibs
It’s really easy.
Chop the apples into chunks about the size of your pinky nail and drizzle the lemon juice on
them to keep them fresh.
Chop the banana and strawberries about the same size as the apple and mix them all in a big bowl.
*Dump in the oats and other stuff, mix it up, and spread it in the dehydrator at 110 degrees F for as long as it takes to make it crunchy. Usually a
couple days or so.
-Munch up!

Oops, forgot to mention that I used soaked buckwheat instead of the barley - I love buckwheat.;)

I'm sorry, but what are barley "oats"? Are they barley or oats? I thought they were both different grains.

Tzefira - You could soak the oats to "awaken" them, but it'll bump the dehydrating time up quite a bit and make the oats mushy and like oatmeal...:(
