Servings:
Serves 1Makes a big, tall glass of happiness. Easy and excellent way to wake up in the morning—keeps you going all day long.
Ingredients:
1 cup Water
3 Medjool Dates
3 tablespoon Hemp seeds
2 tablespoon Raw
Cacao
1 pinch Celtic Sea Salt
1 Banana
Ice
Preparation:
Soak the medjool dates in 1 cup of water for 10-20 minutes. Add this to your blender along with hemp, cacao and salt. Blend on high until smooth. You may want to grind cacao beforehand if you don’t have a high powered blender—makes a smoother drink. Throw the banana in (frozen is better) and some ice and blend again until thick like a milkshake. You will be tempted, but don’t drink too fast—brain freeze.

I should have thanked you a long time ago but this is my usual breakfast most days since reading this.

Oh, this looks like a great recipe. I love that it uses hemp seeds and no nuts. Sounds like a good energizing and delicious way to start the day. I will definitely try this one.

lolamako--thanks! im glad it turned out well and you liked it some much. yeah feel free to substitute any nut milk. im actually big into making hemp milk and then just decided to add the cacao to make it chocolate-y. using frozen bananas will give you a chocolate ice cream. about the young coconuts, just got two cases of 'em--i'm in heaven!

I did not add the sea salt, and used fresh nut milk instead of water. This is one of the best smoothies ever. It reminds me of a Wendy's Frosty. I really cant recommend this enough, I made it for a raw potluck and we drank them icy out of young coconuts. So, so good. Thank you!!!!!

cocoa powder would work also, id use the same amount--2 tbsp. also play with the amount of water/ice to get it to your desired thickness. if you do it right, it should be quite a decadent milkshake.
