Choc Full o Logs
Servings:
Makes 12x - 2 inch Logs

A bit of a weakness of mine chocolate and coconut ;)

Ingredients:

4 tablespoon raw cacao
4 tablespoon oats
¾ cup coconut chips or shredded
½ cup almonds
2 pinch sea salt
1½ tablespoon agave
1 tablespoon almond butter
6 medjool dates

Preparation:

Process all the dry ingredients till well mixed but still quite ‘bitty’.

Add the agave, nut butter and dates and process quickly until mix slightly binds.

Form into logs, triangles, biscuit, bar shapes and refrigerate.

Dare you to try making them without having one before they hit the fridge!

You could of course replace the oats without with some other soaked/sprouted grain such as buckwheat.

Personally I've found true raw oats near impossible to find. I went for the biggest, chunkiest regular ones I could find. The least processing the better. Ideally of course this would use soaked raw oats if you can find them.

what kind of oats do you use? i thought typicly they process it somehow to make it " to be ready in 5 min" therefore did not considered it raw
Sounds very good otherwise

I thought they might work great in a dehydrator. That's definitely the next on my list.. well after an icecream machine.

Thought I'd let you all know that the last 2 of this batch I put through the blank screen of the juicer and made teeny fudge sized pieces. Works great for those moments you or your guests don't fancy that chunkier texture.

Right I'd better make another batch.. :D

WOW! I made something very similiar to this just yesterday. I took walnuts, almonds, and pumpkin seeds (soaked and processed) then added dates and a touch of agave, along with raw cocoa and shredded coconut. I dehyrated to make quick granola bar type snacks for traveling.
