Recipe Directions

1. To sprout buckwheat, soak groats 20 minutes to 1 hour, rinse, sprout in a jar or bag for 24 hours, rinsing every 4-8 hours until they have little tails.

2. Combine all ingredients (except lollipop sticks, of course!).

3. Let stand for about 1/2 hour to thicken.

4. Form into circles (I used a burger press) using 1/4 cup per cookie.

5. Place on Teflex sheet and gently push in lollipop stick.

6. Dehydrate at 115 Fahrenheit for 12 hours, or as desired.

Great for “on the go.”

If you don’t want pops, just spread out to dehydrate, like granola. Makes great granola bars, too!

Serve with nut milk!

Hi Progressivechick, you can actually make your own date syrup by soaking the dates and then blending them till they are completely smooth. These look great I think I am going to try them tomorrow.

thank you, harmonylia for answering progressivechick's question about the date syrup, use about 1 and 1/2 cups of pitted dates, cover with water, let soak a few hours or overnight and blend. i'm not sure if the agave will work for the pops, the dates are very sticky, but should be fine to sweeten the granola version(reduce amount though). thank you, Chris for telling me about the pure tag:)

Since this recipe is 100% Raw, you can add the word "pure" as a tag (category) along with your current tags like breakfast, chia, hemp, dessert etc.

Where do you find date syrup? Would agave nectar work as well? Thanks!
