Blackberry Torte
Submitted by GoneRaw4Life on April 29, 2007 - 6:44pm
I loved Alissa’s date nut Torte but wanted to vary it a little, so when I saw a recipe for a walnut cream cake here I used the blackberry jam to top the torte. I changed a few ingredients too and It turned out really good.
This is quick and easy. Thanks for the inspiration.
Ingredients:
1 cup Walnuts
1 cup Pecans
1 cup Golden Raisins
1 cup Thompson
Raisins
1 cup Dates
½ pint Blackberries, (one container)
Preparation:
Process dates and blackberries, set aside.
Process the rest of the ingredients. After nuts and raisins begin to turn into a ball, remove from processor and shape on a plate (heart shapes are nice).
Spread jam on top and garnish with
orange slices, lemon balm leaves, and blueberries (or not).
Delicious!

You are very welcome Agent99.
2.
You can use a regular plate. After you process the nut mixture shape as you desire. A heart or a star would be a nice shape. Enjoy!
