a BIG bowl of yumm!
I make this on Sunday and keep adding to it all week.It slightly changes each week by adding a new veg. or by mixing in new seeds/nuts etc.I made this mix last night but without sunflower seeds.I only make this with organic ingredients ,if I cannot find a red pepper thats not organic I never add it.
Spinach
redcabbage
cilantro
spring
onion
red pepper
SPROUTS!all kinds.
parsley
soaked gogi berries
carrot
seeds-pumpkin,sunflower
walnuts
Rise your spinach and while that is drying, chop your cabbage, carrot, cilantro, spring onion and parsley and also pepper in any fashion you so do desire.
Put spinach in bowl add your chopped
veggies, slightly mix and then add sprouts, seeds and gogi berries.
I make a dressing with raw applecidervinegar, olive oil, seasalt and garlic.Use whatever dressing suits your taste.
Hopefully someone will make this and tell me if they too think this is YUMMY!

mham - that rings such a bell with me!! Non-raw meat eating partner who dislikes veg - cooked or raw! Tonight we had salad with mushroom pate for me (still working on the recipe) and pine nuts, and for him a chop and baked potato with a lot less salad. I reckon that any small amount of raw food is better for him than none and the more I can sneak in the better. Im just ordering some maca so I can start adding that to our smoothies (about the only raw thing he will happily have!)

Carrie6292...my boyfiend is non raw and eats meat,I have helped with certain things I prepare, mostly large salads(I hide gogiberries and such)as well as make things for him. i am slowly starting to introduce certain foods to him.I even get him to take maca in his smoothies!
I too am from NY!

is it me or does maca have a sort of vanilllaa smell?

carrie6292 - check out www.sunfood.com to find out about maca. They sell it, and the "product details" tells more about what it is.

I never think to add Goji's to my salad - i just eat them by the handful with almonds or pecans added... This would be good with some sort of tangy dressing over it... maybe a raspberry vinegarette (something like that...). I'm sure some snap peas would be awesome in this too!
Okay, i keep hearing about Maca but i have no idea what it is....

This definitely sounds like my kinda dish. Only have to fix it once and then add if needed. I am really bad about prepping dishes, so the simpler the better for me. Will definitely be trying this out.

Love the 'just add to it' concept! Just add whatever is organic, ripe, raw & fresh! Hint: if you have any Maca, add a spoonful of it to the dressing, it will thicken it up so it sticks better to the veggies!!
