Recipe Directions

1. Wash and dry kale. Remove stems and break the leaves into medium pieces.

2. Add all sauce ingredients in food processor. Process until you get a smooth/slightly gritty consistency.

3. Massage sauce onto kale and dehydrate until crispy (8 hours roughly).

Enjoy!

These are WONDERFUL!! I made them today and used my vitamix to blend the sauce with a little bit of extra water and it worked very well. Even my teen Daughter and her friends were crazy about them. I will have to make twice as much next time, and considering that I made 6 big bunches of kale this time I might have to get a second dehydrator just for Kale Chips!! LOL!!

This is my favorite recipe too! Though I usually add a pinch of some kind of chili powder (I love the smoky one, which I can't think of the name of right now), for extra zing.

Also, if you add maybe 3/4 of a cup of water to this it will make coating the kale easier and more consistent. And if you massage the coating into the chips they taste even better, and the coating doesn't flake off so much.
