There is a bit of forethought involved in this recipe, but then again, that's part of being raw! And all you really have to do is remember to put a peeled banana in the freezer a few hours before you want to enjoy this milkshake!

I think this would also be amazing churned through an ice cream maker. The frozen banana and rich almond milk make a base very similar to the custard one would use in a SAD ice cream recipe.

You could also add a bit of cacao powder for a chocolate banana shake, or almond butter or tahini even for added richness.

This recipe is super satisfying, and cures junk food cravings too because it tastes so yummy. : )

You don't even need to freeze your bananas for your smoothies. In case you don't have frozen on hand. I only use my frozen bananas as back up when I am out of fresh bananas.

This smoothie is amazing!

It's so simple to make and it tastes so good.

I made really creamy almond milk and the smoothie turned out like a milk shake.

I'm so glad you like it! I just started going raw as well and it really is the best to stop cravings. I've made it a few times since with cashew milk, dates, and young coconut...omg its even better that way, my favourite breakfast! : )

I have made this twice now and it is totally wonderful. I swapped agave for a few dates and added a touch of vanilla. So so good.I couldn't even wait for the banana to freeze today so didn't. Thanks for sharing :-0
