All Bucked Up
This was an accident. I meant to make wraps, but apparently bucked up the buckwheat recipe and ended up with crackers, they were almost like ritz in texture, next time I make them I will cut them and make them prettier with some salt on them. (they were good, but fugly)
½ cup Fine Ground Sprouted Buckwheat Flour
¼ cup Fine Ground Flax Seeds
1 tablespoon Oil (I used
Extra Virgin Olive)
1 teaspoon Sweetner
½ teaspoon Sea Salt
1/8 to 3/8 cup water
.125 cup Fresh Chopped Herbs, OPTIONAL (I'm sure they would be
good without)
Combine all ingredients except water until thoroughly mixed. Add water starting with 1/8 of a cup and slowly add in more until the batter looks like a fine thick pancake batter. Spread on a teflex sheet into circles (or squares or triangles or whatever shape you really like) about 1/8 of an inch thick. Dehydrate on 105 for about 4 hours then flip and go until crispy.

Oooh - I can't wait to try these! I just sprouted some buckwheat and then realized I didn't know what I wanted to do with it... don't ask lol.

You can't edit recipe comments, eptpdmom, only forum posts. This looks great, by the way.

I am going to be really sad when this gets pushed off the front page due to another recipe taking it's place. The name of this recipe cracks me up everytime I read it. I love hearing the alternative words people used for the F word, they crack me up. I had never heard this one before. It's classic.

Awww thanks, I like stuff that tastes good, but jeez these were all over the place with shape. The name was what came in my head when I got it out of the d, it was like, I bucked up that one. . I do love it when it messes up and it happens to be pretty darn good anyway.

Crap, the name of this has me cracking up... this is a brilliant for your quote on quote little accident. It's not always about how things look. Nourishment and taste can overpower presentation, big time. I don't think they look bad though, that's my opinion ... and I am lovin' the name till no tomorrow.

Don't you just love how a lot of recipes turn out to still be something good even when they don't go as planned? That happened to me also with something I'm goin to publish soon... after I tweak it. I liked the mistake better than what I was actually trying for.
I like how you named them...lol! AND how you decorated the late with that yummy cookie ;-) The crackers don't look so bad. I can see the little herbies in them..hmmm! crackers good for dip!

I actually used a plantain and whipped it with some chives, poblano pepper and salt and psyllium for a spicey dip. It was ok, but I am working on that one. It needs desperate tweaking lol.

Sounds great! What did you serve with them?
