Servings:
Makes about 8 patties

These really do taste like crab cakes! Try them and see! They would probably make a great dinner served with a salad containing sea vegetables.

Ingredients:

1 cup almonds, ground
1 cup cashews, ground
2 stalks of celery
2 scallions
1 cup carrots
1 cup parsley
1 tablespoon dill, dried
1 clove garlic
2 teaspoon braggs aminos
1 teaspoon kelp powder
1 teaspoon dulse flakes
¼ cup lemon juice

Preparation:

1. Grind the almonds and cashews in food processor or coffee grinder.

2. Process the rest of the ingredients, then mix with the ground nuts.

3. Dehydrate at 105 degress for 6-10 hours. Flip patties after 2-3 hours.

*Don’t dehydrate if you want to keep it a pâté.

Do you soak and dehydrate the nuts before grinding, or just grind as is? Thanks!

For the most part cashews aren't truly raw. Also, they are high in mycotoxins, thus promoting candida.

this sounds soooooooo delicious - i just don't know where to get Kale Powder from. I would also substitue pine nuts and brazil nuts for the cashews (i don't eat cashews or Nama Shoyu or Peanuts anymore)... JamesTheRaw - your awesome, i love that idea! I'm going to try your recipe (if you've posted it yet). Thanks!!!

TYPO in here.... I have Alissa's book and the correct amount for the lemon juice is 1/4 cup. NOT 1 cup.

This is delicious, by the way....

You could try replacing the almonds with walnuts. I do that sometimes and it doesn't make a huge difference. Who knows, it might even turn out better . . .

these would probably ROCK dipped in spicy avocado mayonnaise...i'm going to post my recipe for it soon. i used to bartend in a restaurant where they served crabcakes with a chipotle remoulade- that's where i got the idea. i'm SO going to try that...

I ususally use pine nuts or macadamia in place of cashews. This time I didn't, but it would probably taste pretty much the same.

sounds good... is anything can be used instead of cashews, without compromising result?
