I make this whenever I have a craving for something naughty but nice. It tastes like a decadent dessert, but is much better for you than a pint of the commercial brands. Use regular organic cocoa or carob powder for a not completely raw version, or try it with raw cocoa powder if you are lucky enough to have some on hand.
1 frozen banana, chopped
½ cup frozen cherries
1 tablespoon raw almond butter
½ tablespoon agave nectar
1 tablespoon cocoa or carob powder
1 dash sea salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
Process all ingredients in food processor until combined into a smooth consistency, similar to soft-serve ice cream. Either enjoy right away or allow to set in freezer until firm. Tastes great by itself or topped with chopped raw nuts, more nut butter, agave, and/or raw cocoa nibs.
