This dish was inspired by the old salad I used to eat, containing Top Ramen, almonds, and green onions (DO you know the one I’m talking about?). There’s nothing like guilt free food that tastes “right”—and this tastes right as rain… or ramen!
The almonds are a touchy subject, I know. This recipe is for those of us still willing to use them.
1 head cabbage, shredded
3 carrots, shredded thick
8 green onions, , thinly sliced
½ cup sunflower seeds, hulled
1 cup slivered
almonds
2 tablespoon sesame seeds
¼ cup agave nectar
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup oil (I prefer
grapeseed)
2 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon pepper, optional, but good
a drizzle of Bragg's, nama shoyu, or gf tamari, optional but good
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and let marinate at least 30 minutes.
