Acerola (Malpighia glabra) also known as Barbados cherry or wild crapemyrtle is a small, red, somewhat sour-tasting fruit that is supercharged with Vitamin C (from 1000 to 2000 mg per 100 gm in the edible portion of fully ripe fruit). That means a single fruit could supply the daily adult requirement of vitamin C!
1 handful of Acerola fruit, washed
1 cup fresh coconut water/other watery filler of your choice
Pop it in the blender and enjoy!
If you can get your hands on these berries, they are simple yummy, pop them in your mouth and enjoy!
