These are a healthy adaptation of my favorite summer camp treat peanut butter balls
Much better! truly an improvement, including the lack of summertime under the fingernails dirt!
These are GREAT for kids to help with!!!
1 cup raw (of course) almond butter
.375 cup local honey (or agave nectar)
2 tablespoon carob powder, *optional*
ground coconut, for rolling
ground cacao, for
rolling
pink salt
cinnamon
2 cup rolled oats, ground slightly
Mix the almond butter and honey/agave. Add 1.5 cup oats and carob if using. Mix until it’s pretty stiff~ add more oats if needed. Make up a mixture of more ground oats, coconut, cacao, cinnamon, and salt. Start pinching off bits of almond mixture, roll into balls using your palms, and roll in the dry mixture. voila! almond balls! store in the fridge…the longer they chill, the better they get! enjoy : )
