I've been sick for quite some time and struggling with intestinal/candida issues, amongst other things. I was recently tested for toxic metals, and I was very high for lead and thallium. Lead can be explained away - low exposures over the years could have added up. Old water pipes, hoses, paint, etc. The thallium is a mystery. It was banned in the US in 1972 in rat bait, etc. because it was so dangerous. I haven't had any heart stress tests or MRIs done, so I have no idea how I was exposed. Has anyone else been tested for toxic metals and had a thallium reading? I suppose it could be used in the high tech industry and we're exposed without knowing it...
Part two of this question...I'm on magnetic sulfates (I think that's what it's called - Adya Clarity) a precurser to zeolites. Does anyone know of any juice regimens or other supportive foods while I'm going through detox? My doctor doesn't want to do chelation, at least not yet, because he's afraid my kidneys won't tolerate it.
Finding this out is kind of exciting because it means I can get better, but it's also a little scary, or at least I'm not sure how I feel about it all yet.
Thanks!
Cami
