We just got back from shopping and both of us were sooo tired! I asked my husband what sounded good for a pick-me-up, and he suggested a smoothie (we usually just have one for breakfast). So I whipped this up with some of the yummy organic fruits we just got. WOW!!
(Use all fresh and organic if possible):
1/2 fresh ripe pineapple, big cubes
1 ripe mango (leave on the skin), big cubes
10 or more sweet Bing cherries (pitted)
6 medium leaves of Swiss Chard (torn into pieces)
2 frozen bananas (cut in chunks)
2 cups of chilled Spring or filtered water
Process: Add all ingredients to the Vitamix or other powerful blender (water and softer fruits first, then leaves, then frozen fruit last). Process until smooth. Enjoy!
Tip: if you don't have a Vitamix, cut your fruits smaller, so the blender doesn't have to work as hard.
