A wonderful and simple “pudding” or sauce that makes a great snack. Great for breakfast or anytime of the day!
1 Pear, Cut into chunks
1 Dried Calimyrna Fig
¼ Vanilla Bean
1 dash Cinnamon
2 tablespoon Water
Soak fig and vanilla bean in water for about 10-15 minutes just to soften.
Add the cut up pear to the blender and sprinkle with cinnamon to dersired taste. I tend to use a good dash or two.
Next, add in the fig, 1/4 vanilla bean, and the soak water. I use a high speed blender so the vanilla bean isn’t a problem. If you have a regular blender, just scrape out the seeds, no need to soak. (you could also use extract, but I prefer the bean).
Blend ‘er up until you get a nice “pudding” consitency. You may need to scrape the sides down halfway through and blend again. Can also be easily made in a food processor.
I enjoy eating mine slightly warm cause I keep my fruit on the counter, but if you prefer it to be cold just store your pears in the fridge or freezer.
Enjoy!... I know I do :)
