Mmmm, this is delicious! 11 am and this revs me up all day!...enough to pass up the super-buff guys running in Runyon Canyon :-)
2 tablespoon ARTISANA coconut butter (not oil), make sure it's warmish + soft
.33 head cilantro , minced
¼ head spinach (or any green, better not bitter though), minced
1 tablespoon spirulina flakes
1 tablespoon maca powder
1 tablespoon dulse flakes
1 clove garlic, minced
1 lime, juiced
1 pinch Celtic sea salt
2 sheets raw nori
red bell pepper, shallot, ginger, sprouts, OPTIONAL
cumin, turmeric, hing, cactus powder, OPTIONAL
Make a paste of garlic, salt (and ginger if you wish to add more power) in mortar. Mix up Spirulina, Maca, Dulse (and any of the other dry spices chosen) in a bowl; to that add lime juice and Artisana Coconut Butter to make a paste. Add in garlic / salt. Mix in the big bunch of minced spinach & cilantro until all is like a pate – add more lime if it’s too dry! Then spread it on a sheet of raw Nori and lay down jullienned red bell or thin sliced onion AND SPROUTS TOO on top if wish. Roll up and YUM! I can’t stop eating it every day.
I've made this using whole dulse wrapped up in there too and it is chewy-AWESOME-licious!!!
This was delicious! I used bok choy instead of spinach and added a dash of olive oil to vary the flavor.
Dear Tree Ear - this IS my hiking fuel! Works like Kryptonite!
i'm always looking for new ways to use nori this sounds really great before a hike

WoW THIS SOUNDS AWESOME!! THANKS FOR POSTING!
HI This sounds great. Do you know if maca in supplements is the same as the stuff in your recipe? I was thinking about getting some but it has to be one way or the other and they only sell the capsules where I shop.
