One more question... when you say a box of strawberries, do you mean a pint of fresh strawberries (the little square basket) or a quart (the big rectangle basket? Thanks!
no, i don't have an ice cream maker. you can pour it straight from the blender into a bowl and just freeze that for really little (maybe an hr?), if not it gets really hard...didn't have to stir it. ice cream makers seem cool, i kinda want one too
andieOO7 - looks lovely! did you use an ice cream maker? If not, did you have to stir it a few times in the freezer? I was going to buy and ice cream maker this summer but will probably do so next spring/summer.
This reminds me of when I used to make a strawberry cashew ice cream with mint. I think I should do that again when I restock on cashews.
o i actually have no idea, might as well try :)
Looks yummy, and wow so simple.... I could actually do that right now, do you think macadamia nuts would work instead of cashews?

Two words...YUM! (ok that's only one word...so...YUM! YUM!)

Looks good! Andie, is the texture creamy or more sorbet-like?

ah good idea :), i wanted it to be much darker but no matter how many strawberries i added, it stayed pale
I bet if we added a dab of beet juice, it would be more red. DH is use to that commercial stuff. Thanks for the recipe!!
This looks really good. Thanks.
