We're spending an hour or two fixing up the site each day and are coming quite a long way with functionality (which is our focus before moving to the visual fixes).

You'll now see a small link on the bottom right of each page that says feedback. If you experience a bug or would like to see an addition on the current page, feel free to leave us a message there - this way we'll be sure to see it! Thanks to each of you who have already used this feature (look, recent forum posts are back in the sidebar). We are listening and are excited to be putting together a Gone Raw that will be better than ever!

Also, we are putting the finishing touches on the new add recipe feature before putting it live on the site. Hopefully, you'll find this much easier to do than before. If any of you have a recipe you've been wanting to post and are in an adventurous mood, we'd love to hear your feedback. Here is the link to add a recipe:

We're making good progress with the new Gone Raw!

We've got everything moved over, and we're in the middle of sorting out inconsistencies. We've got our work cut out for us making the site look presentable - there's still a way to go. But it's working, it's staying up and that's a good sign.

In order to move things forward, however, we'll have to take the site down for a few hours tonight. This will let us update the database and update some pieces of the software. We expect this will take place from maybe 8:30PM to 11:30PM PST. If you visit the site during those times, you'll just get a friendly reminder that we'll be back soon.

Thanks again for all your support, and please do keep letting us know about issues as they arise!

Status Update

We recently put up a number of "updates":http://goneraw.com/forums/gone-raw/topics/major-updates-coming-soon here on Gone Raw. We're happy to report that the site is much more stable now, but we've recognized that ultimately the code isn't tenable long term.

This just won't do! So, we've set aside a big chunk of time over the next two weeks to move Gone Raw to a completely new system and computer. This means that you won't see any fixes to the current site while we are in production.

We're very excited about the new site (which will look quite similar overall with some way cool features). We have every confidence in all smiles - we'll keep you updated!

We've just added some "major updates":http://goneraw.com/forums/gone-raw/topics/major-updates-coming-soon to the website.

# It is faster. (this was the biggest update)
# The forum software is upgraded, which makes is easier to add moderators in the future.
# Things “paginate” better, which is totally geeky but handy
(look, no more "super long pages for recipe categories":http://goneraw.com/recipes/list/breakfast)
# Last, and the absolute most requested addition in the recent survey, you can now add pictures to recipes you didn’t post!

Now, due to the major upgrades some things look a little different. Over the next few days we’ll go around fixing them. We’ll probably try posting some pictures of recipes we didn’t make to be sure it’s working. For now, enjoy, and let us know if you find any issues!

Thanks to each of you who filled out our survey (we received 199 responses)! We've heard you loud and clear - Gone Raw improvements are in progress.

This week, we are in the midst of optimization and architectural changes (making the site faster and more available).

We also learned that many of you would like to see more pictures of recipes, so we're working away at that piece as well.

We'll keep you posted!

If you are seeing this message, you are visiting Gone Raw at our new hosting company. Horay! We still have some glitches to work out (like uploading all of the images) and such, but all of the recipes and forums moved over beautifully.
