  • Hi! I know Ive stopped craving alcohol to relax and unwind in the evenings, and I think the high sugar content in all the fruit Im eating kinda curbs these cravings! just a mad theory!

my only advice is, once you’ve stopped, be careful if you go out and drink as you used to. i pretty much completely gave it up, and went out with an old friend had 2 1/2 glasses of red and puked my guts out!

  • I used to have 1-2 not so small glasses of wine each night. In the middle of June I decided to give it up completely because it seemed to make me tired in the evening and to make it difficult for me to rise and shine in the morning. I didn’t have any negative/detox effects, and I’d been having wine almost daily for quite some time. Even before I went back to Raw, I started having more energy, morning and night, just from giving up the wine. I agree with queera that fruit sugar may have been responsible for helping me avoid any cravings or detoxing related to wine. Luckily, I don’t miss the alcohol. I did miss the routine of it for a while, but I just filled a pretty glass with cold water and fruit instead.
