Where can I purchase TRUELY raw nuts?

Living in Canada and haven’t yet found a store that satisfied my requirements. Even those stores tht claim to sell “raw nuts” seem to sell nuts that are actually heated and oxidized. Is there a good website for this? Also, is it better to buy the nuts shelled or in-shell? (because many websites advertise raw-shelld nuts, but doesn’t the delivery just “kills” them?)

In Canada, you’re gong to do best at www.realrawfood.com

Many Canadian members on here have bought them and claim they are much different than “raw” ones in the store. Juicy, sweet, and unusual are how they are described. They have some other unusual things too like fresh dates I think. Go check it out, it’s a small, organized website.

Let me tell you one thing, though. There are two options for unpasteurized almonds, wild ones and Californian ones. Do not get the Californian ones, as all almonds from California are not raw even if labeled truly raw. Wild almonds definately get them. However, I trust that their other nuts are raw, because of the descriptions. Hope this helps a little.

  • I agree with RawKidChef… realrawfood.com is amazing! In fact, I’m waiting for my second shipment of cashews and almonds to be delivered any day now!!!
