Wheatgrass Sprouts Question

I have sprouted some wheatgrass this week. The grass is now about half an inch long, and there are several long white strands sticking out of the other end of the seeds. How long should I keep sprouting it for, and which part do I eat? All of it? Just the grass? I think I’m going to put it on salad. I tasted a blade of grass and it was very sweet and yummy.

I think that the green part is eaten, and you can grow it some cm then cut, eat and let the same seeds to grow again for several days. When finished a natural sponge can be made with seeds an roots, but I have never try.

You should let it grow 5”-7” and then start harvesting it. Take scissors and cut off the grass about 1/2”-1” from the root. Don’t try to cut too low down the plant.

Ann Wigmore, the wheat grass lady, believed you got the most benefit from the juice, on an empty stomach. I’ve been juicing wheat grass in my K-tec blender. See my recipe for details.
