what to expect during transition?

hello! i’m looking for some help.

i’ve been 100% raw for about three weeks now. the first two weeks were fantastic—i had so much energy and was really excited about preparing new foods. but i hit a funk last week. my mood and energy have been down since then. i’m sick of the recipes i’ve used over and over again and can’t get excited about another raw meal! i’m craving cooked foods and am not feeling very satisfied after eating. how long does this usually last?

is this transition? or am i done for? :)

thanks.

What does your typical diet look like? Maybe you’re eating too much fats and not enough greens? I think you really just have to keep trying new recipes until you find enough to use as staples which you like MORE than any cooked food alternatives. Changing things up really keeps things interesting and makes sure you get a variety of nutrients. You might spend more time preparing food at first, and looking for the recipes you want, but it’s worth it in the end. As for the energy drain, everyone hits that point. It’s a series of highs and lows at first until your body fully detoxifies. Your body has to build up enough energy to detoxify to the next level and that’s why energy levels go up and down at first. Keep going though! You’re certainly not done for!

if you go too “clean” too fast, your body doesn’t have the ability to exit all the toxins… it’s simply can’t release what it doesn’t need at the pace you are making it go… SO, either have a simple cooked something (baked yam, steamed broccoli, etc…) or get a colonic. the first will slow the detox down, giving your body a little relief… the other will help release the stuff your body couldn’t…

    you aren’t done for! =)
