WANTED: candida friendly recipes

Hey there: Having gone 100% raw a few months ago, my friut and nut intake went through the roof. Apparently I have the good fortune of exacerbating my body's candida content-and am now a walking petri dish full of yeast. FUN! lol. My chocoholic, sugar addict self has now given up sugar in all forms, cacao, nuts- basically everything I crave daily. I am beginning to max out on nori rolls and kale salad. SO, I am looking for some new candida-friendly recipes from anyone who has been through this itchy hell. Recipe ideas and/or general advice would be much appreciated!

  • I made a great marinated broccoli salad recipe for lunch today from Gabe Cousens' stage 1 foods, which by the way is an excellent resource for recipes. The stage 1 recipes are noted w/ a broccoli crown. I'm trying to stay there for 3 months. Pulse the broccoli in the FP ( about 3 heads w/ a few stem pieces) w/ a clove of garlic, 2T lemon juice, 3T Olive oil, 1 T sea salt and some fresh herbs (rosemary, oregano). Spread it out on dehydrator sheets and give it just 30 min. or less at 145 in the dehydrator. Serve warm. Breakfast is tough during this phase since there is no fruit at all. He's got a couple of porriges, but I just eat half an avo, which holds me well until lunch. I wouldn't stress too much about the nuts--they are mostly all OK for stage 1. Everyone is different, but I tried the 80-10-10 approach and this completely backfired into a full blown candida explosion, which then led to many cooked grain cravings. It was awful. The book is Rainbow green Live food Cuisine by Gabriel Cousens. Two thumbs up! I also put oregano oil in capsules 3 times/day. Check your online sources for the appropriate dosage as the concentration of oregano oil varies. The Indian Flatbread is in the dehydrator now. It's delicious. These foods are very filling so 3 meals and a snack is plenty. Up your veggies-no worries about the fat. You're not combining it with fruit or grains so you will be fine.
