Tip: Making a link (& other textile help)

kandacekandace Raw Newbie

We’ve had a few questions lately about making links on Gone Raw. For the description and preparation areas in the recipes, we use Textile (practice Textile). Here are a few simple Textile symbols:

MAKING A LINK

"Vegan, Raw Recipes":http://goneraw.com

Becomes this link: Vegan, Raw Recipes

ITALICS

_italics_

Becomes: italics

BOLD

*bold*

Becomes: bold

NUMBERED LIST

# List item 1 # List item 2 # List item 3

Becomes:

  1. List item 1
  2. List item 2
  3. List item 3

BULLETED LIST

* Bullet item 1 * Bullet item 2

Becomes:

  • Bullet item 1
  • Bullet item 2

Note: You can also use plain old HTML code in these areas.

Hi Kandace. I have no computer skills at all. In fact evrything that I try to do doesn’t work (look on my recipes and see what I mean.)I hope I can manage that.Thanks.

Hi Lucy: I bet you are better at computers than you think – lots of people have trouble figuring out how to post to forums, ect.

With the recipes, no worries about errors – you can always go back and edit a recipe. I took a look at your recipes and it appears that they aren’t showing up quite like the others on the site because your ingredients are all listed in the preparation area. While it may be a bit more work, listing the ingredients one-by-one will have great benefits in the future!

Another useful link on formatting is HTML Code.
