My name is Dave and I’m currently transitioning from being a vegan to a raw vegan – a process that has more or less been a success over the past 30 days. It has been a struggle (I’ve fallen into the ocassional late night binge), but one that continually rewards my efforts when I’m able to stick to it.
I’ve come to raw foods mostly in order to deepen my spiritual practice. I’ve come to realize that raw foods and yoga really are two peas in a pod, and the clarity of mind I experience is of immense benefit to my morning meditation practice. But, perhaps most of all, eating raw foods allows me to move throughout the day in a light and clear way, which in turn allows me to approach the world and other human beings with a greater compassion, patience, and understanding. This is, afterall, why we take care of ourselves: in order to better take care of others.

Hello Dave and welcome. I feel eating raw food has changed my inner self so much and helps me to be more present. I really feel joy inside when I watch the little birds we have that come to feed and entertain us every day. Raw food has had a powerful effect on my awareness and I see and learn new things every day about myself and the human condition. Raw food will also be good for your yoga.
