I am transitioning into raw food but I see a few people do have some warm drinks sometimes? I have been a big green tea and detox tea drinker for a while, I didn't really see this as a bad thing as they are good antioxidants before but now I'm not sure...
Do you class drinking Green Tea as not 100% raw?
As for food it's only ever in my evening meal now, alongside raw foods. What I am finding had to cut out are lentils and potatoes. Probably beans too. I shall get there though.

Yeah, green tea is really good for you and great for your metabolism (not that you need to worry about that being raw). I occasionally have chinese and detox tea to.
I'm so pleased I don't have to worry about this too much, especially for next winter.

I drink all kinds of organic and herbal teas, but then I am not 100% raw, anyway.
I don't think Pukka brand sells in Canada - I've never seen it. Btw, apart from Whole Foods, Superstore also has a wide variety of organic teas, quite often on sale.
Very strictly speaking, tea can't be called raw, because according to this philosophy anything heated above 47 deg C is not raw - kills the enzymes and stuff. And tea is always prepared in boiling water.
But if you enjoy drinking tea - don't stop. You will still be 99.9999% raw. lol.
Yeah, I did figure I'd be kinda cheating with the tea, but I wanted to see what everyone else thought. As I am transitioning I am going to keep on with the green and detox, I figure by rushing everything all at once will be too much! I would say I am nearing 70%, although I did a full day of pure raw yesterday which was so nice! I don't know if I'll ever get to 100% pure raw but if I do I am expecting through summer.

I wouldn't worry about consuming some herbal teas, if this makes you in the eyes of some not 100% raw then so be it i say. Teas such as rooibos etc that are very high in antioxidant polyphenols that have anti-cancer, anti-viral, heart disease prevention benefits should be welcomed into diets.
We should get as much of the above and a varied amount of different phyto-nutrients as we can, as they all go towards preventing degenerative diseases.
We have just got some great rooibos blends and other herbal teas in at our site below.
FYI on teas. Check the ingredients. Even Yogi teas have "Natural 'whatever' Flavor," and according to investigations those flavors use chemical/heated methods of extraction. It's disappointing, but in 100% pure natural teas there's a difference. The added flavors can be too much! Just look to make sure you know what you're getting. Stay away from Good Earth too!
