So Cal Raw Ice Cream Maker

BluedolfinBluedolfin Raw Newbie

The HFS near me is slowly starting to carry raw products. The other day I noticed they had a raw ice cream from Tomberlies. Anyone try any of their products? I haven’t tried anything from them yet since it was about $5 or $6 for a small portion. I will eventually try their ice cream for a treat… Currently, it looks like Tomberlies is available in Southern California only. Slowly more raw products are becoming available. Woohoo!

I have never heard of them before but it looks good. Darn, they are only in So cal. It is probably so expensive because of the thai coconuts and raw cashews used. I have only had Roxannes ice cream which is not completely raw, Raw Hemp Ice Cream at Judalicious in San Fran, and Cafe Gratitudes Ice Cream. All were pretty good.

I am waiting for a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream Raw!

I planning on buying an ice cream maker. We want to start making our own ice cream at home.

Tomberlies is a little too heavy and dense for me. I think it’s the nut base versus milk(ish) base. Still, if you’re having a dinner party and want to serve a teeny scoop of ice cream on top of a raw pie…um, I’ll accept your invitation.

For non-raw, but fairly guilt-free ice cream, I like Coconut Bliss.
