Wow did I overdose on selenium from my Brazil nut tacos yesterday? I have eaten these before but not in a very long time. I ground up some brazil nuts w/ chili powd.,and jalapeno, made salsa of tomato, lime, cilantro and jalapeno and my regular guac and topped w/ a few radish sprouts. It was so yum, but as soon as it went down, i knew it was coming back up. i know brazil nuts contain the highest selenium of any food. Has anyone had this response to brazil nuts? I figure there was about 5 nuts per taco-I ate 2.

i haven’t – i have eaten 5 at a time before. sorry to hear you felt sick! i’ve felt sick when my food was too HEAVY - like too many nuts, too much spices/food combinations make me nauseous.
