Recipe Book plans?

sweetpeasweetpea Raw Newbie

Hello, are there any plans to turn all the recipes posted here into a book for its members? Also, I would like to see the recipe shaper simplified.

Thanks for the encouragement – we’re working on a recipe book! If anyone has particularly favorite recipes, this would be a helpful time to go in and rate them as we’ll be looking through recipe ratings soon. Also, we’d love to hear your thoughts on e-books themes (for example, 5-star recipes, regional, seasonal, etc).

  • Is this something that will use the members recipes and ask their permission to publish? That would be neat if the people who contributed could share in the profits.

I like the idea of 5-star recipes because you always know you’re making something good. This is especially good when you have curious guests who want to try something raw for the “first time”. In my cooking-days, I would cook foods for my guests from my never-fail-recipe-cookbook and always had good comments. It’s always nice to hear. So, a never-fails-raw-food-recipe-book like that is a great idea!

  • Hey that’s nice to know. None of mine would be good enough to publish but that would be pretty weird to see your recipe in print like that if you had submitted it to this site and then it turned up in a book. Somne people would like it and some people wouldn’t I’m sure. Some people could get free advertising from if if they were mentioned as the creator of the recipe and they had a website that people could go to to see what that person did as in raw food coaching etc.

I’m curious if the person who created it (the recipe) would be acknowledged, and if there would be a place for them to display a website for further info? It’s also kind of counter productive I think if someone can just come to the website – why would they pay for a book- but you never know.

writeeternity, what do you mean none of yours would be good enough to publish? You underestimate your recipes, they’re good! :) I believe Alissa Cohen is including people’s names, she is going to do an ebook with recipes from her rawfoodtalk.com and also http://thesunnyrawkitchen.blogspot.com is doing that too, using what fellow rawfoodists recipes, sent in, as recipes published in her eboods. I think they are publishing people’s names, but who knows? It would be nice to have the free advertising, like you said, it’s always fun finding new websites from links elsewhere, you never know who will have the one service or recipe that is perfect for you :) I’ve found some great references to others through goneraw.com…

Hi Kandace, I think that seasonal books would be great! It’d be great to know what to make with the fruits and vegetables that are available locally that are in season (although I realize that we all live different places), but especially around the Holidays, it’d be great to have a special book for those. As far as 5-star recipes, when a person enters their own recipes and rank them as 5 star, does it automatically shows up as 5-star or only when other people rank them that way???

  • Kandace, maybe we can call it Gone Rawcipes. :)
