Raw Power for Life

Hi eveyrone,

I have been on again, off again raw for about three years now. Two years ago I was 100% raw for 2-3 months and 80% raw for 4-5 months after that. I then went back to eating a lot of cooked food, including cheese (I am a vegetarian when eating cooked). In the last 6 months I have attempted to go raw three times and not stuck with it. I believe in raw and a few weeks ago, maybe 6-8, I told some friends that I almost wished I would get sick somehow, not too serious, in order to give me the motivation to go raw and stay raw. Well, I now have a mass in my upper left abdomen and am going for an ultrasound to find out what it is. I am just about 35, have no symptoms of a blocked colon or infection, so who knows. However, I am raw and plan to stay that way and believe in raw power. I have used many wonderful recipes from this site and love them, so here I am as a member.

Cheers,

Karen

  • I am new to raw foods and have been doing lots of investigating lots of sites on the web due to having several people, friends I know that have cancer and died from it.

I found a site called "anoasisofhealing.com". You should check it out, it would be a great encouragement to you. This is a man who was a medical doctor for some time, Dr. Lodi, and now is into raw foods and has a clinic in Arizona helping people overcome many types of diseases.

Maybe you have heard of him. I had not.

Hope you get some inspiration and help there.

  • Another great book for reading is "Green for Life" by Victoria Boutenko (The Raw Family) as they are known.

This is a great read with lots of information in it. There whole family was in a health crisis at the same time. They all now lead healthy, happy lives and are out there teaching and helping others to be healthy and overcome disease.

Hope this information helps you. I may be telling you something you already know about, but if not, check it out!

    I wish you the best,
