raw food + disease

Default Raw Food + Disease Hi, My doctors have told me that my disease is incurable because they do not know what causes it in the first place. Well to me that means I can cure/reverse it. I have macular degeneration and i am only 30. It has been treated by a specilaist and is not getting any worse. There is no family history and the only thing that I think has caused this is my total lack of respect and mistreatment of my body for the last 15 years. My eating and exercise habits were atrocious and I have been obese most of my adult life.

I’ve recently started on a 70% raw food diet, which is a huge change from the mostly junk/processed eating habits i had before. Ive lost 11kgs in 5 weeks, my skin has cleared up. I still have greek yogurt, cheese and eggs, but I have added a lot of raw foods to my meals.

The reason I have converted over to eating more raw foods is in the hopes that it will cure my so called incurable disease. I have been told that the human body can regenerate any part of our body but the teeth. Yet the doctors claim that my condition cannot, that once those cells have died thats it tough luck. I was just wondering if anyone else here has had an incurable diagnosis and have succesffuly reversed their disease using the healing power of raw foods and how long it took to see improvment?

Much appreciated.

  • Hi I am very interested in this topic. I have noticed definite benefits by eating more raw foods in my case cucumbers. Eating at least two a day- in smoothie, soup, dressing. I have pain that hasn’t been officially diagnosed though.

I have researched a lot on macular degeneration. Do you know if you have wet or dry? There is a hospital in Florida that has the most cutting edge techniques to combat it. One is to put your blood through a filter and cleaning all of the plaque out of it. It sounds drastic but if you have a version of the disease that acts really quickly you’d need to take drastic measures.

Another technique is to cauterize the blood vessels that are leaching blood into the eye. This is used for the wet kind.

The two types need opposite remedys because one you want your blood to coagulate more and one you want your blood to be thinner so it won’t dry up the blood vessels to your eyes- as in the dry version of the disease.

You should definitely look into medical arenas which have specified knowledge in that area and have a second opinion.

Here is one reference if you haven’t seen it yet. IMPROVED NUTRITION MAY REDUCE THE RISK OF MACULAR DEGENERATION

Researchers theorize that lutein and zeaxanthin protect the macula. This is important information for everyone, not just those diagnosed with macular degeneration.

There is a lot of good information on Curezone about eye sight improvement. I saw a good one about how darkened rooms and wearing sunglasses can weaken your vision. I stopped wearing sunglasses and after a few months, I barely need to squint. I can’t find the article now, but there is an eye sight support forum that should have some good ideas for you.
