protein or veggies first!??

Hi all, been researching food combining and sequential eating to help with my shocking digestion. But had conflicting views from different sites! im a keen runner so protein and carbs are a mainstay of my diet, but i see that has to change! but i did read that a meal of chicken rice and salad should be eaten in that order, (something to do with the vagus nerve and protein) but with sequential eating i guess it would say the exact opposite? anyone got any ideas?

    Have you tried reading Brendan Brazier’s book “The Thrive Diet”? He’s a professional athlete and has a lot of good advice. However, he doesn’t mentinon anything about eating in specific sequences.

  • I would say veggies first, since veggies are easier to digest, while meat may take days. Also if you take veggies with meat, the veggies will give your digestive system “energy” to digest the meat better.

    And lots of water.

    My opinion is, if you must eat meat, eat it once a day only. Our bodies are really quite simple. So our diets should be.
