Anyone know of organic jicama? I’ve checked all of our local health food stores – and it seems that organic jicama isn’t to be found. Also, does anyone know about how jicama is usually grown – should I avoid the non-organic variety? Thanks!

my local produce guy (in brooklyn ny) said he’s absolutely unable to get organic jicama from any of his suppliers.

Same here…I’ve tried. It’s my guess that it’s just not a heavily sprayed crop and probably has minimal pesticides on it because of this.
