When transitioning I managed to buy some oat groats which need to be soaked
they did not sprout but are apparently raw
Otherwise oats as in porridge oats have already been cooked to kill bugs

i found some raw oat groats at toronto based upaya naturals (an online store). I haven't used them yet because can't really figure out what to do with them...
