My mom has always been very health conscious--and in a freethinking way. When I was in the process of being indoctrinated at school and on TV about the food pyramid; my mom would say that the mainstream food pyramid was off. Her suggestions were vegetables and fruit on the bottom, meat and dairy after that, and then grains. I was remembering those encounters in light of my raw vegan lifestyle choice, and thought we should make a food pyramid! Perhaps greens on the bottom, then fruits and root vegetabes, and then oils, larabars, raw honey, raw cacoa on the top. What do yall think?
