My Party was AWESOME!!! Menu

Hey… So my housewarming party was a total blast, and everyone loved the food!! I don’t think I mentioned the raw thing to anyone except my boyfriend, so no one knew and seriously i dont think you could tell, it just tasted like awesome fresh delicious food!!! I made:

Marinated Baby Button Mushrooms Stuffed with Pesto

Trio of Salsa Platter – a tomato-chilli salsa, a pineapple-mint salsa, and an avocado-lime salsa, served with vegie chips

Ambrosia Fruit Salad with Fresh Coconut served in Shot Glasses

Asian Takeout Noodle Boxes filled with Vietnamese coleslaw with sesame lime dressing

MMMMMMM. I WANT MORE. why didn’t make more for leftovers? or invite less people!!! haha

Thanks for posting! I plan to host my “first” raw food lunch in Aug. I’m adding a “bean” dip to the menu which I absolutely enjoyed. Since the friends I am hosting for are curious about raw foods… I decided to only use recipes that taste good every time I make them.

Were your veggie chips raw? I’m trying to figure out what to serve with the spicy “bean” dip.

  • Hey germin8, i confessed to a couple of friends that the meal was raw and they were shocked and then intrigued – the best way to get anyone interested is to feed them, i have found!!!

The one tip that i would give with regards to the vegie chips and anything else, is that presenatation is key. the eyes make something taste good as well as the tummy. so make sure your veggie chips (which were raw, some dehydrated, some not) look beautiful and think about presenting things in cute ways – there’s a new recipe for raw peanut butter cups in the recipe section, where the author suggests serving in those little gold foil patty pans… I think that will be my next entertaining dessert!

    hope that helps!

  • That sounds AMAZING!

Can I have an invite next time?? heehee

BTW, that is such a cool idea to put raw food into take out boxes!! No one will ever know!!

  • thanks little mango!!! any time you’re around australia drop in for a visit! ha ha.
