I’m glad to say that the trip went great. After some initial anxiety and discussion with the dentist, he agreed to do it with no freezing. The pain wasn’t that bad, it was like getting a piercing; just another experience.
I would advise people to go the drug free route on fillings for sure. If nothing else, it will give you incentive to brush and floss!

I’m glad to see it went well for you! I had a tooth pulled, for that, no drugs is a no no. But for future reference i will try a filling with no freezing,
