Liver Cleanse

The woman I have been going to for colonics wants me to do a liver cleanse that involves two days of apple juice followed by the laying on the side/ olive oil thing. Has anyone done a liver cleanse? Is it worth it?

I’ve personally not done a liver cleanse, although it’s something I’ve been curious about. There’s a lot of info on the net about it, including some controversy that the galstones that come out are actually coagulated oil. I’d love to see other replies. Shazzie did it and posted info on her site.

I know I feel much much better when I do liver cleanses. I have no idea about the gunk that supposedly comes out of you. I just know how I feel, and I feel it is certainly worth it. :) It won’t hurt, so try and see if it makes you feel any better.

its good that you have someone who knows alot about it to tell you how to do it. I followed instructions off various websites and ugh, it was horrible because I over did the Epsom salts. I had never used them before and it was too harsh and I used too much, far too much…

The only way to tell is if it is right for you is to try it. The fast alone will make you feel lovely and sparky. Apple juice is so cleansing for the liver. Maybe if the whole things doesn’t seem appealing you could just do the apple juice fast. That is completely worthwhille on it’s own.

  • I have a girlfriend who goes on an apple fast. She consumes nothing but apples and apple juice/water. After her fast she drinks like 1/4 cup olive oil. She does it every time the seasons change. I have never tried it but she says she feels better and the apple skins (forgive me for being gross) scrape the yuck out. She’s a retired body builder, she used to be a vegetarian but now she has fish and chicken in her diet. She’s fifty something but looks 12.
