just starting out...

hi everyone, i’m new to the site and just wanted to introduce myself! i’m sam, and i’m making a transition into raw. i still like to cook, and i plan to continue to cook at least a couple meals a week until i no longer feel like cooking food. so i’m trying to be raw for everything but dinner. it’s only my third day of trying, so i’m getting some detox in the form of being EXHAUSTED, but i remain hopeful that it will pass. i’ve been vegetarian for 8 years and vegan for 1, so maybe it won’t be so bad. anyway, i look forward to learning a lot and being a part of this community! s

  • Welcome! I have learned that if I want to have anything cooked during the day it is better to wait until supper or after supper. It is better on the digestion of the raw foods not to have to compete with cooked foods. Good luck on the detox!
