I am looking forward to doing a 4 week trial of raw foods, but am concerned about my insulin resistance. Currently, my information is to eat low gylcemic, low carb foods. Is there info in a book somewhere? I have read how raw foods can turn around diabetes, but would like more info.
Check out the 80-10-10 diet book. I have type 1.5 diabetes and was worried about eating so much fruit. Dr D says it is the combo of fruit and fat together that causes diabetes.
It is working out fine so far. My insulin needs have already gone down by at least a third, sometimes less, and I'm eating a ton of fruit. After years without it on the low-carb diet, I feel like I've died and gone to heaven.
