Im new too

Hello everyone,

I have been a natural vegetarian since birth . Sounds weird I know. I remember driving my parents mad because I wouldn’t accept the convenience of a drive through during the 70’s when working parents relied on them (lol). I say this only because after the birth of our second son he too is like me. No meat please. Not for political reasons but we just don’t care for it or digest it well. Im forty now and tried my first cheeseburger at 28 and wanted nothing to do with it. My husband and first son are meat eaters and I shop at natural markets for them.

ANYWAY… Ive decided to go raw because of kidney stones. I had one for the first time and about died. My diet had consisted of loads of Spinach and nuts nuts nuts… My staples! Unfortunately also the key ingredients to encourage kidney stones. I have had to introduce a lot more aw options to offset the PH.

Im here to learn and by reading this site I can see Im in the right place for that :) Im looking forward to getting to know you.

cheers! L.

Hi there! Thankfully there are a lot more greens than spinach. Can you replace nuts for seeds and grain? Did you and do you now soak your nuts, seeds and grains? This helps with the PH.

  • Hello! It is my understanding that all foods can be Oxalic but some are far more concentrated than others. Fruit as a whole is not but I have been advised to modify my intake of blackberries, currants, lemons, limes, oranges and strawberries (as far as fruit goes). I had a urine work up done when emergency surgery was done. They basically said I my Oxalate levels were off the charts. Since going raw they have stabalized (yay!).
