How long does Almond milk keep in fridge?

I’ve read 3 days or so, but living alone, I would never go thru it that fast, yet really need it when I need it. I make somewhat small amounts at a time. I’ve tried it 5 or 6 days after I’ve made it and seems to be ok. How long does yours last, and if its no longer good, does the taste change, or how would I know?

Sheesh, I’ve wondered too, but there are so many variables-sprouting time, concentration etc. You should know by the smell!

Someone mentioned in another thread that they make sunflower seed or hemp milk using only 1.5 TB of seeds (sunflower seeds soaked overnight) and 3/4 cup or 1 cup of water. This might be an idea for you. You blend until smooth, then use. No straining is necessary. I’m sure you could could make use of that little amount within a day. I imagine almond milk would be good for at least 3 days, but I wouldn’t take chances with trying to keep it much longer. Just keep your batches really small.

I tried a week once and some “cream” separated to the top! I got excited but it smelled spoiled. I think 5 days is the maximum.

If stored in an airtight container (like a glass mason jar) in your refrigerator, it usually keeps well for up to 5-days. You can freeze it, too.
